The introduction of the North Sea Emission Controlled Areas in UK waters has generated a new initiative in the Marine sector as marine architects, vessel builders and operators look to future proof machinery.

The operator took the opportunity to use the IMO tier 3 engines available from Hyundai Doosan Infracore to ensure the vessels were delivering the lowest levels of emissions whilst being complimented by class leading fuel economy and extended service intervals which means reduced downtime and servicing costs for each vessel.
