Hours: 25 hours a week (negotiable), around 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays

About the role
Watermota is a family-owned marine engineering company based in Newton Abbot. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Purchasing and Logistics Administrator to join our team.
This is a part time role of around 5 hours a day, so it could suit a working parent or anyone looking for shorter working days. We’re flexible about when those hours fall. For example, you could work 08:00 to 13:00 or 12:00 to 17:00. The role is 100% office based with no hybrid option, because there will be urgent requests that need a response within 24 hours. You’ll need to be in the office every weekday.
What you’ll be doing
- Receipting goods into the stock control system
- Producing weekly and monthly reports from the stock control system for review
- Reporting changes in product or service costs to the relevant department
- Ordering from suppliers, generating purchase orders and using supplier ordering portals
- Administering and updating the stock control system
- Liaising and building relationships with freight forwarders and suppliers
- Arranging imports and exports through freight forwarders
- Booking UK road freight with transport companies
- Maintaining accurate stock control, purchase and pricing records
- Working with other departments to make sure parts are sourced and supplied when needed
- Updating relevant departments with shipping and delivery information
- Supporting the work of other departments
Skills and experience
- Previous purchasing or stock control experience is preferred but not essential, ideally in an engineering environment
- Experience with a stock control system is an advantage
- Great organisation and time management skills
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (essential)
- Good numeracy, organisational and problem-solving skills
