Doosan, manufacturers of diesel engines with a reputation for performance, fuel economy and quality, are one of the main sponsors of The Open Golf Championship for 2019.

Doosan have been the official Patrons of ‘The Open Championship' since 2010 to promote the Doosan brand and are pleased to be alongside corporate names including Rolex, HSBC, Mastercard, Mercedes and Nikon.

The Open makes an historic return to Northern Ireland in 2019. Golf’s oldest and most international championship returns after 68 years with the world’s greatest players competing for the Claret Jug over the Dunluce Links at Portrush on what is sure to be one of the most memorable Championships.

The Dunluce Links will provide a stern test of golf for the best players in the world. Originally designed by Harry Colt, the course is routed through the rugged links land and constantly changes in both direction and elevation.

Doosan is a global infrastructure support company that has been making a consistent contribution to this major sporting event by providing not only sponsorship but also pre-event on-course construction equipment. Last year the Doosan exhibition booth offered a variety of exciting activities such as power plant and excavator VR (virtual reality) simulation, a life-like photo zone. There was also a branded bus all around in the area during the golf event, to proudly deliver their logo and brand messages.

James Wyatt, Sales Manager at Watermota said, "This is Doosan's ninth year as an official patron for this prestigious event and this reflects their position as a global brand. As Doosan's exclusive marine and industrial supplier in the UK we appreciate their investment in the UK market and are looking forward to watching the event."
