We have just carried out an annual load bank test of a 400 Kva Doosan powered generating set for a customer in Plymouth. The set is a prime power unit which rarely runs at full load so periodic full load runs are carried out as part of routine maintenance.
We received a call from a local customer with an engine overspeed fault, an engineer was despatched immediately. The fault was diagnosed and rectified as well as the parts available in stock on the service van meaning the vessel was back to sea within two hours.
One of our engineers visited a local fishing vessel in north Devon and carried out a thousand hour service on the Doosan L136 propulsion engine. We also installed a closed crank case breather system as an upgrade to standard. We can supply this system to fit all Doosan models.
