Based on the high quality Lister Marine Alpha series water-cooled diesel engines, Watermota manufacture a range of robust marine generating sets designed to provide the Boat Building Industry with a silent power source. Applications include professional craft (e.g. Pilot, Tug and Fishing boats), Pleasure boats and Yachts.
Lister is one of the worlds most established engine manufacturers associated with power generation, in a tradition which goes back to the early 1900s. The modern “Alpha” series of water-cooled diesel engines combine a sturdy professional design with light weight, small dimensions, low noise and vibration and a long life time. The Marine Generators produce power from 5,6 kVA – 22 kVA 1500 rpm and are available with Single or Three Phase outputs.
Standard design features include:
• Optimum accessibility
• Intercooling by PTO driven brass raw water pump and heat exchanger preventing sea water corroding the engine or alternator.
• Exhaust water injection helps to reduce exhaust noise and cools the exhaust system.
• Engine automatic shutdown system will activate for low oil pressure, high water temperature and high exhaust temperature
• 12 Volt starting system with 45 Amps alternator (earth return)
• Hours counter to monitor service intervals
• Robust sound attenuated canopy for ultimate on-board comfort
• Zinc plated steel
• 2 large service doors one on each side
• Easy access to oil filling point, oil filter, dipstick fuel - and air filter
• Opening on top of the canopy to enable good access for service
• Powder coated in RAL9010
• The frame can also be used as a stand alone, open set

Technical Information:
Engine: The Watermota marine generating sets are powered by reliable four stroke Lister Marine “Alpha” diesel engines, which are available in 2, 3, or 4 cylinders direct or indirect injected, natural aspirated or turbocharged (model LPWT4). Fully equipped with fuel lifting pump, fuel filter with water separator, self vent fuel system and hydraulic valve lifters (no re-adjusting of valves).
Alternator: All AC generators are manufactured by Mecc Alte. The self-regulation is obtained through an electronic regulator. The regulator is fed by an auxiliary winding which guarantees an almost constant supply under any possible operating condition of the generator. The voltage accuracy is ±1% in static condition with any power factor and with speed variation between - 5% and +30% with reference to the rated speed. The permissible overloads are of 300% for 20 seconds, of 50% for 2 minutes and of 10% for 1 hour every 6 hours of operation.
